Sony Ericsson P910

Sony Ericsson P910
The P910 is a great release by Sony Ericsson which can be considered as a well thought-out enhancement to the P900 model. The phone comes with a 208 x 320 pixels large TFT touch screen which is capable of displaying 2,62,000 colors at 18 bit depth to the owner's delight. However the size of the screen is dependent on the flip keyboard position. With the flip closed the screen has a 208 x 208 pixel resolution, where as with the flip open the phone has a resolution of 208 x 320 pixels.

From the imaging standpoint the phone comes with a built-in camera called CommuniCorder which can capture images of up to 640 x 480 pixel resolution with 24bit color depth at 16 million colors. The camera can also shoot still pictures in other resolutions that include QQVGA (160 x 120 pixels) and QVGA (320 x 240 pixels). Pictures can be shot with the flip open or closed as desired by the user. Though with the flip open users can get access to supplemental graphical controls displayed on the lower end of the screen. The phone can also shoot videos at a fixed 176 x 144 pixel resolution.

Users have access to various camera settings that include changing shooting modes, image size/quality correction, video size reduction, brightness/contrast adjustments and various timers.

The P910 makes messaging all the more comfortable as users can input text using the onscreen keyboard, through hand writing recognition or even better through the flip keyboard. The flip keyboard is well though-out and allows users to input data with surprising ease.

From the entertainment point of view the P910 has excellent multimedia functionalities which includes a music player capable of playing MP3, MIDI, AAC, RMF and many other formats; video streaming facility and several preinstalled games. The phone supports Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) which allows users to download and install new games and applications.

Storage should not be much of an issue with this mobile as it comes equipped with 64 MB of internal memory which is dynamically allocated. This memory can be stretched with Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick pro Duo cards that can store up to 128 MB and 1 GB of data respectively.

Overall this phone is a great release by SE and has all the features that an average mobile user would ever look for.
